Since
1995, Reality Education has brought real world skills into the classroom.
We began by providing nine supplemental math material books and
have grown into a full interactive website. The purpose of
this site, which is continuing to improve daily, is to provide real
world interactive experience for teachers of all ages. Using
her 22 years of educational experience in ages 3 to 14, Nancy is
now providing all of her "best kept secrets" to the public
for free.
We
strive to create hands-on authentic activities that bild a bridge
between the real world and today's classroom. We strive on
creating integrated curriculum units that build a bridge between
the real world and today's classroom. In her career, Nancy has:
- created a sexual harassment
teaching unit and training sessions for all middle school teachers
and students for an inner city district..
- developed a resource manual
for middle school mathematics. Part of this resource manual
was sent to the State Department of Education for use in their
own curriculum material.
- developed a district curriculum
planning guide for middle level mathematics. This guide will
be used as a scope and sequence for focus skills used in grades
k-8.
- created district practice tests
which are based on the Stanford Achievement Test skills for
grades 7-8.
- wrote items for state competency
exams for such states as Texas, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland
and California.
