About our Company Reality Education

Since 1995, Reality Education has brought real world skills into the classroom. We began by providing nine supplemental math material books and have grown into a full interactive website.  The purpose of this site, which is continuing to improve daily, is to provide real world interactive experience for teachers of all ages.  Using her 22 years of educational experience in ages 3 to 14, Nancy is now providing all of her "best kept secrets" to the public for free. 

We strive to create hands-on authentic activities that bild a bridge between the real world and today's classroom.  We strive on creating integrated curriculum units that build a bridge between the real world and today's classroom. In her career, Nancy has:

    • created a sexual harassment teaching unit and training sessions for all middle school teachers and students for an inner city district..
    • developed a resource manual for middle school mathematics. Part of this resource manual was sent to the State Department of Education for use in their own curriculum material.
    • developed a district curriculum planning guide for middle level mathematics. This guide will be used as a scope and sequence for focus skills used in grades k-8.
    • created district practice tests which are based on the Stanford Achievement Test skills for grades 7-8.
    • wrote items for state competency exams for such states as Texas, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland and California.
    • has been published in three national magazines.
    • trains preschool teachers on a variety of topics.

You might have seen Nancy presenting at local, state and national conferences. Various workshops have been presented on math activities/lessons, self esteem, assertive discipline, individualized education, study skills, sexual harassment and pre-school training seminars.

Nancy received her bachelors in education from the University of Wyoming and her masters in education administration from Arizona State University. Other educational training includes:

Keeping involved in her district and school has always been important to Nancy. She has been involved in the School Improvement Team/ Site Committee, ACUMEN Program - training for administration, Video Technology, Team Leader, Math Department Head, Math Text book adoption committee and Master Teacher Mentoring Program.Finally, Nancy was the winner of a very distinguished award.
